Tri-County Literacy Council invites individuals wishing to make a meaningful contribution to our community to register for upcoming Tutor Training workshop. In this 2-day workshop, volunteers learn how to tutor adults with basic literacy needs.

Topics include:
• Characteristics of the adult learner
• Assessing learner needs
• Understanding the Learners’ Training Plan Supplement
• Teaching strategies and resources available

The workshop is interactive and open to persons with the ability to train others. A $35 charge applies for training materials. Registration and payment are required in advance.
