TD Tree Days 2018

Cornwall, ON (September 6, 2018) The Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) is proud to announce they will once again be working with TD to deliver a TD Tree Days event on Saturday, September 15th, between 9am and 12pm at the Cornwall Marina Cooperative site on Montreal Road.

A total of 300 potted trees and shrubs will be planted which will count towards TD FEF’s goal of planting 1 million trees by 2030. “Tree plantings provide an opportunity for community involvement and play a vital role in protecting shorelines from erosion, improving water quality and creating wildlife habitat along watercourses” says Normand Génier, RRCA’s Forestry Specialist. He went on to say: “This year, there will also be an unveiling of three interpretive signs during the event, and as always, a free BBQ!”

If you are unable to personally attend the event in your community, please share the event within your network to help us fill the volunteer positions. If you would like to join the RRCA and volunteer for the event, please register by clicking on the following link: visit www.tdtreedays.com and search your location in the search box on the top right hand corner. Don’t forget to bring a shovel!
