Def Leppard is joining other rockers and releasing a beer later on this month. They’ve partnered with an American craft brewery and will release Def Leppard Pale just ahead of their upcoming tour with Journey.
The beer release coincides with the 30th anniversary of their best selling album Hysteria. It’s a blend of British Ale and Pacific Northwest hops. You actually don’t have to travel that far for it since it will be available in Albany, NY. It is available in 16oz cans and on tap at most concert venues and select restaurants, bars and pubs near the Times Union Center in Albany.
Def Leppard is not the first rock band to dabble in the beer industry. Iron Maiden has had beers called, Trooper and 666, out for a few years. Jimmy Buffet owns Landshark in the U.S. and here in Canada SpearHead Brewery has the Sam Roberts Band Session Ale. I know there are more but we need to cap it somewhere. Whatever rock band’s beer you enjoy…Cheers!
