A Local 8 Year Old Shows There Is No Age Limit For Kindness

Big Hearts and a generous spirit know no age to old or too young. Isabelle Paquette is 8 years old and baking up a storm for the Children’s Treatment Centre and inspiring many along the way.

This young lady took this challenge on last year and raised just over $2200 for the CTC’s Bike-A-Thon-Plus.

She went right back to work this year with a goal of $3000. This morning her parents told her with the current orders left to fill she will meet and exceed her goal.  Her reaction shows how much she is doing this for all the right reasons(grab the Kleenex).

While the majority of the cupcakes are made and iced in the Paquette family kitchen they got some help Tuesday.

Isabelle was invited to St.Joe’s Secondary to share her story and get some help. Teacher Sylvain Girard says “figured we could help her increase production. We called her Chef Isabelle. Students reported to her, she ran quality control and taught the students recipe and how to pipe icing. We did over 500 cupcakes and got 200 iced.”

Girard added “my students learned that age is not a barrier to giving back. The students were so impressed with what she is doing, many gave her a donation.”

To help out you can order your cupcakes at cupcakesforctc@outlook.com until next Tuesday May 22nd.
