Ontario Police Warning To Clear Off Your Entire Car After Many Related Accidents

It’s one of those winter chores that become annoying as winter drags on but neglecting it can prove hazardous.

There have been many storms that have left plenty of snow on vehicles already this winter with more to come.

OPP are asking you to please clear off your entire vehicle incline the roof and not just the windows to keep things safe on the roads.

Many things can happen with the roof ice and snow like falling on your own windshield and impair your vision and even fly off and strike other vehicles…especially going over 100km/h on the highway.

While there is no specific law against leaving snow on the roof of your car you can be charged with having an “unsecure load”.

Here are examples of what can happen when you don’t clear your car off completely.
