It is the eve of the Wonderful World Of Whisky Show at the Nav Centre.
Final preparations are being made today to welcome people from across the planet this weekend as the show kicks off tomorrow night with a world class whisky steak dinner.
Chef Luc and his team are looking to top last year’s amazing whisky aged beef dinner and have managed to recruit the help of Arizona Chef David Duarte.
The master classes lineup for both Friday and Saturday are quite spectacular with brand ambassadors and even distillers coming from Scotland, who have never been to Canada, presenting their line of spirits. Some of the first time Canadian visitors include Garry Haggart of Lindores Abbey Distillery as well as Gordon Bruce of anCnoc Single Malt Whisky Distillery. The full schedule of events and which master classes still have tickets available can be found here.
It all culminates on Saturday night with the sold out main show where well over 100 whiskies can be sampled from Scotland, Ireland, the U.S., Canada and Japan. To go along with the tasty spirits will be an offering of culinary treats from Chef Luc and his team to compliment the samples guests will be enjoying.
Creator Ian Bentley and the Wonderful World Of Whisky Show were recognized a month ago at the Chamber awards for Tourism Excellence bringing people from out of town and country to the city each year for this fantastic event.
