A man in a chair appears and puts on his favourite record: the cast album of a fictitious 1928 show which suddenly comes to life in his apartment. With two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a day hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, and a tipsy chaperone, you have everything you need for the perfect Broadway musical.
