The 12th Annual Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival Expands with Two New Community Events

Kozroots Community Empowerment Projects invites everyone to Lamoureux Park on Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a full day of creativity, wellness, food, garlic, and community connection — three events in one vibrant space on one day in Lamoureux Park on the beautiful waterfront.

Now in its 12th year, the Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival is growing in exciting new ways. This year, it proudly hosts two companion events:

  • The Cornwall Street Art & Food Festival
  • The Wellness Walkway

With Earth as the 2026 theme, the day honours the life and creative spirit of Lee Theodore, celebrating community, imagination, and the shared potential of people and place. All proceeds support Norah’s Dream Fund, continuing Lee’s legacy of empowerment.

A Day Full of Discovery, Creativity, and Community Energy

Visitors will experience an eclectic mix of offerings, including:

  • Quilters, graffiti artists, sketchers, and live art
  • Tarot readings, massage, sound bowls, Reiki, and wellness modalities
  • Community organizations and not‑for‑profits
  • Garlic growers offering fresh garlic, seed, and growing knowledge
  • Delicious food vendors and culinary creators

Expect hands-on experiences, meaningful conversations, and a few mysterious, cool, and groovy surprises throughout the park.

Garlic growers will share expertise, offer locally grown garlic and seed, and help strengthen Eastern Ontario’s garlic industry. New growers can learn how to get involved and become part of future festivals.

Participation & Volunteerism

This is the beginning of something special — a growing, community-powered celebration. Artists, wellness practitioners, community organizations, and not-for-profits can still apply to participate, and volunteer opportunities are open. Applications and details are available at Kozroots.ca and on our social media pages.
