New Ice Plant Making Equipment at the Alexandria Curling Club

On Sunday, October 14th at 10:30 a.m., the Rt. Honourable MP Francis Drouin and Jacques Héroux, an Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer, will be at the Alexandria Curling Club as it prepares to inaugurate the recent installation of its new Ice Plant Making Equipment. This new Ice Plant Refrigeration System will be more energy efficient, reducing the Club’s annual electricity consumption (cost) and improve the environmental impact that meets the latest requirements of the Government of Canada approved refrigerant cooling media, benefitting the residents of Alexandria and the Township of North Glengarry. Our dignitaries will formally present the Alexandria Club with a plaque to mark the work done as a result of receiving a grant from the Foundation in late 2017. Mr. Duncan Ferguson, our President will be talking about this new program and its expected impact in the community.
