‘We survived the Ice Storm’ party

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 1998 Ice Storm at the Bonnie Glen.

The great ice storm of 1998 is listed as one of the worst natural disasters in Canadian history. It brought the community together and froze it into the memories of all those involved. Come to the Bonnie Glen Pavilion on Friday, February 9 at 6:00 pm for a chance to share stories, hear tales from farmers, hydro workers, volunteer firefighters, police, volunteers, and some of those many souls who took friends, neighbors and acquaintances into their homes to share a generator, share a wood stove and simply help each other out. For just $40/person, enjoy a hearty Italian buffet dinner, amazing stories, memorabilia and photos from the time, and a fun silent auction with items you may need if and when the ice returns.

Thanks to the Scotiabank in Maxville, all tickets sold from their branch will be matched dollar for dollar to benefit the Glengarry Pioneer Museum.
