The holiday season is quickly approaching and we’re gearing up to put on the holiday gala experience of the year. With the success of last year’s Virtual Gala, The United Way of SD&G thought wine not bring it back?
Join us on Saturday, November 20 from home or at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club with special guest host: our very own boom breakfast duo: Dan Allaire and Bill Halman.
This smaller event will be packed with the fabulous wine, food, and entertainment that has always made this event so special in our community. And to continue to share that experience from home, it will include the option to order food and wine to be delivered to ticket buyers’ homes. This hybrid event will include the best of the in-person and online experiences, including gourmet food, top-shelf libations, a live band, live auction, online auction, delicious food to enjoy from home and a Facebook Live for people to tune in from their living room couches with close friends and family. The United Way of SD&G is hosting a very small in-person Gala at the Cornwall Golf & Country Club and bringing back the Gala from Home for 2 Package with a charcuterie-style grazing box and two bottles of wine delivered to your house. The Chesterfields are back and ready to get you dancing at the event or in your living room again, plus The United Way of SD&G most popular fundraiser will be online again this year.
In 2020, 86% of donations and funding that the United Way Centraide SDG received was invested back into the community. In 2021, we pledged to invest $353,000 in 16 local agencies and 19 different programs across Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
