Celebration 60 is less than a month away and the planning committee is looking forward to having our community come together on July 21st and celebrate South Stormont!
The Ingleside Firefighter Association Celebration 60 Committee has been working hard to provide a full day and evening of entertainment for our residents and visitors and are excited to hear how some families, who now live outside of the area, are coming “home” for this event.
We have an amazing lineup of musical entertainment booked for Celebration 60 that will begin at 5pm and will keep our crowd on the dance floor until 1am; The Shiners, Kilts, Riffs and Spurs and Hadrian’s Wall.
The entire event will be held in the heart of Ingleside on the grassy lot in front of the Ingleside plaza and will include annual favourites such as inflatables by Bubble Bounce, pony rides by Mellow Meadows Equestrian, face painting courtesy of the Township of South Stormont, activities organized by the the SDG Library, a children’s firefighter challenge and a super cool bungee jump ride for teens! The Schneiders Foodland Community Cruiser will be serving up a BBQ from 12-4pm and a beer garden will be open from 12pm-1am.
New this year, and to commemorate the flooding of the Seaway, will be a display set up by the Lost Villages. We will also have a dunk tank to raise funds for the new Ingleside Park, a vehicle extrication demonstration and of course, we still have a few surprises up our sleeve!
Our t-shirt design is getting lots of attention as it has a great retro feel and we’re really anxious to showcase it.
Community sponsorships have been phenomenal this year, we are truly grateful for the support of so many local businesses. It is thanks to them that we can offer this great summer event year after year that is free for all to attend.
Please continue to follow our Facebook page for updates and announcements.
We hope that you will plan to join us on July 21st and celebrate South Stormont!
