Tri-County Literacy Council invites individuals wishing to make a meaningful contribution to our community, to register for an upcoming Tutor Training workshop. In this 2-day workshop, volunteers learn how to tutor adults with basic literacy needs. Topics include:
• characteristics of the adult learner;
• assessing learner needs;
• understanding the Learner’s Training Plan Supplement
• teaching strategies
The workshop is interactive and open to persons with the ability to train others.
A $35 charge (tax-deductible) applies for training materials.
Registration and payment are required in advance.
